Licensing

Three ways to hold the software.

ライセンス

Licensing should be readable without a lawyer. Below is how each model works and, just as importantly, what it does not include.

Project-based development

You commission the design and development of software, delivered against an agreed scope. Ownership and usage rights are defined in the project agreement.

Includes

  • Fixed, written scope
  • Milestone-based delivery
  • Agreed rights on completion
  • Optional Product Care afterwards

Best when the software is specific to your business and you want it to be yours.

Subscription

Access to a deployed Express Product for a recurring fee, with the services explicitly listed in your agreement.

Includes

  • Access to the agreed deployment
  • Services as listed in the agreement
  • Predictable recurring cost
  • Change requests scoped separately

Best when you prefer an operating cost to an upfront investment.

Perpetual software license

A perpetual license means you receive continuing rights to use the agreed version of the software under the terms of the applicable agreement. It is a license to a specific version — not an entitlement to all future work.

Includes

  • Continuing right to use the agreed version
  • Scope of rights stated in writing
  • Deployment as specified in the agreement

Hosting, maintenance, security updates, new features and future customization may be separate services unless explicitly included in your agreement.

What we do not offer

Promises we will not make.

  • Lifetime support
  • Unlimited updates
  • Unlimited hosting
  • Unlimited customization
  • Guaranteed savings compared with other providers

Hosting, maintenance, security updates, new features and future customization may be separate services unless explicitly included in your agreement. Nothing on this page constitutes a legal guarantee; your agreement governs.
